August is our annual picnic! We have a lot to celebrate as a club. Come out to Jim’s wonderful ranch and enjoy fantastic food, camaraderie and bee chat!
Bring a salad, side, veggie, or dessert — it's a potluck.
We’ll also have honey tastings, so bring your best jar to share. There will be a table for displaying items for give-away, swap, or sale.

Join club vice president and bee charmer Sung Lee for a free session about managing varroa mites at the club apiary! Sung has over 80 hives himself, and also manages many clients’ hives. He’ll demonstrate both methods of checking for mites (the sugar roll and the alcohol wash), and he’ll explain how to treat for mites -- both reactively with various treatments when the count is high, and continually as part of an Integrated Pest Management system.
