Monthly ACBA board meeting (scheduled for the third Wednesday of each month). For board members and invitees.
Monthly meeting of the Local Bee Initiative at Manor Grill in San Leandro. Food and drink available. Take a hard left when you enter the restaurant.
Join us for some light gardening labor, enjoying the time outdoors and each other’s company. Heavy rain cancels.
Phil says: Weed wack, pull weeds, water, chit-chat, plant some new ones, pull some old ones. Now is the key time to set the tone for the garden for the year. No new weeds will sprout up and new plants will have a good chance to mature. Bring any new plants you want to contribute. Bring your gloves, and your favorite implements of destruction. I'll try to predict your needs and bring a truck load of tools.

Join us for our in-person monthly meeting at our new meeting space! Our speaker will be Dr. Linda J. Siperstein, speaking about Bee venom as a therapeutic agent.
Bee venom can be used in the management of cancers, auto-immune conditions, pain, and other medical conditions in veterinary medicine (and we'll speak a little bit about those animals called humans too).
Dr. Sip (Linda J. Siperstein, DVM) is an exotic pet veterinarian practicing medicine and surgery in the East Bay. Her patients include rabbits, guinea pigs, domesticated rats, turtles, tortoises, lizards, snakes, and birds. Her house call practice gives her a unique perspective on her patients' lifestyles and home care. She lives in Oakland, CA.
Join Sung Lee for a free hive inspection demonstration at the club apiary!
We'll go over what to look for as part of an inspection, and what to do next. Beginners are welcome: if you're new to beekeeping, you'll have a chance to get hands-on experience with bees. All we ask is that you join the club if you haven't already.
Sung Lee is Alameda County’s famous Bee Charmer, with over 80 hives he inspects every week.
