September is the annual picnic for club members! We have a lot to celebrate as a club. Come out to the Hayward Apiary and enjoy fantastic food, camaraderie and bee chat!

We’ll provide chicken and ribs for everyone. The club will also provide water, soft drinks, dinner rolls and tableware. Bring a salad, side, veggie, or dessert — it’s a potluck. This event is kid-friendly, with lots of room for kids to run around. Dogs aren’t allowed, unfortunately.

We’ll have honey tastings, so bring your best jar to share. There will be a table for displaying items for give-away, swap, or sale. We’ll also do a hive inspection on the club hives.

How to get there

The apiary is at 24919 Whitman Street, Hayward, CA 94544, near Cal State East Bay:

If you use Google Maps or Apple Maps, put in the full “24919 Whitman Street” address, not just “Hayward Community Gardens”, otherwise it can send you to the wrong street.

The gate is at the green “entrance” shown below, and the hives are at the very back, past all the garden plots.
